What this is about
These terms apply to the use of the website elephantsanctuarytour.com. Elephant Sanctuary Tour is an independent guide to visiting elephants near Chiang Mai and elsewhere in Thailand: day tours to elephant venues, the waterfall and bamboo rafting that some of them add, and the welfare questions travellers ask. We do not sell tours or tickets ourselves, we do not run or inspect any elephant venue, and we are not a tour operator.
Who sells your tour
If you book a tour through one of our links, you enter into the contract on the GetYourGuide website with GetYourGuide or with the respective tour operator. Their terms and conditions apply. They are responsible for the tour, payments, rebookings, and cancellations, not we.
Prices and availability
Prices on this website are starting prices and are for orientation only. If you convert them into another currency, we use reference rates from the European Central Bank; the result is an approximate value. Only the price and availability shown by GetYourGuide before booking are binding.
Animals, Weather and Safety
Elephants are large wild animals, and how a venue keeps them and what it lets visitors do is decided by that venue and can change. We describe what each listing states and what welfare organisations and researchers publish; we do not certify any venue. Heavy rain can cancel river activities, and the monthly climate figures we show are long-term averages, not a forecast. Which activities, transport and inclusions you get is set by the listing you book and by its operator, so read its details before you pay.
